ABOUT HOW IT ALL STARTED…

You see, I (THE OWNER CHRIS) started in the construction field as a house flipper back in 2002 and hired out all of my work, including painting.

However, the painters were the worst to deal with. They never did it as I asked, and they were completely messy and got paint everywhere! Either they didn’t speak English, or they were foreigners of some kind who didn’t understand what I was saying or wanted.

So, “I ended up doing it myself and got pretty good at it.”

This company was created because of a void in the field, which still exists today: the demand for actual Licensed, Bonded, and Insured painters, along with such high customer demand.

I was one of those customers and couldn’t find a licensed painting contractor to save my life. And the ones I did see and talked with were booked up all the time.

So, I knew it was a very in-demand field of work. To make a very long story short, most of the painters back when the company was created were conducting business illegally, according to the State of Alaska.

This problem still exists today!

I can understand why, as all the fees and licenses are extensive before someone can have or serve a customer at all.

That is why The Paint Anchorage Team painting business was formed. As the owner, “I love to see the transformation of homes after a paint job,” so what better profession to get into… 🙂

ABOUT OUR HISTORY…

The Paint Anchorage Team was originally just a thought in 2008. Just after a major mortgage melt down.

Christopher Smith the founder, had a ton of contacts in the construction industry and painted for himself while flipping homes and many other personal contracting friends until 2010.

The Paint Anchorage Team was created…

…in 2010. Since then, It has maintained steady growth while many other paint companies in Anchorage, Alaska, went out of business.

Starting with only one staff member, Chris himself and working with partners in the construction field. The business has now grown ten times the size it was in 2010.

Through Chris’s dedication to the customers. He wants The Paint Anchorage Team to become one of the most trusted and go-to home painting companies for Alaska residents.

As a born Alaskan, I put this passion into practice in my business methods through customer service and attention to detail from all my painters.

I have lived in the Anchorage area for the past 50+ years, building strong relationships in my community and with many others from all over the state of Alaska.

With 23+ years in the painting and construction field…

I have dedicated many hours to all of my business practices.

I have received recognition for accomplishments and certificates of achievement as a residential endorsed contractor for the state of Alaska.
