About Our History
The Paint Anchorage Team was originally founded in 2008 by Christopher Smith. Just after a major mortgage melt down, The Paint Anchorage Team maintained steady growth. While many other paint companies in Anchorage, Alaska went out of business.
Starting with only one staff member, Chris himself and working with partners in the construction field. The business has now grown ten times the size it was in 2011.
Excited for the future, and through Chris’s dedication to the customers. He wants The Paint Anchorage Team to become the most trusted and go-to home painting company for Alaska residents.

From The Owner… “For years I’ve always said that a team is 10 times better than one man or woman working by themselves”.
A “TEAM” is a group of individuals working together to achieve the same goal for the customer. OK… Well for one thing, there is no “I” in the word “TEAM”. This why the name was chosen.
Our painters work together in confidence, moving forward on the job at a moderate speed. They know exactly what each painter has to do in order to complete the job and everyone helps everyone with whatever they are doing.

Chris is passionate about serving others. As a born Alaskan, he puts this passion into practice in his business methods through customer service and attention to detail.
He has been a resident of the Anchorage, Alaska area for the past 40+ years. Building strong relationships in his community over that time.
With 14+ years in the painting and construction field he has dedicated his time in all of his businesses practices. Providing the highest-quality craftsmanship and service to his customers.

Are you Licensed, Bonded and Insured?
Yes, we actually have to be professionally licensed here in the state of Alaska in order to do any kind of painting on a house or building.
What kind of products do you like to use?
Our prefered vendor to go too is Sherwin Williams. They have always provided us with top notch painting products and supplies to complete every job we do.
What kind of paint products do you like to use?
Well to be honest we use whatever the homeowner wants us to use on there home, but always end up recommending the products from Sherwin Williams.
We like paints such as:
Super Paint – This is a good primer based paint.
Resilience – This is an excellent paint with moisture guard in it. We mainly like to use this for the trim on homes since this is where most of the moisture is at.
Duration – This is a step up from resilience and also a primer based paint.
Emerald – This is the BEST there is for homes and also primer based, but not many people like to use it because the price is so high, but we use this on a lot of our jobs and its definitely a nice paint for the long term.
So these are the main painting products that we choose to use on a daily basis and they have never failed us.
Do we need to provide you with the paint?
No, we will include the painting products in the quote you get from us every time, because you would just end up paying more in the end since we get such a good deal on the paint.

Do you have other exerience other than painting?
Actually yes, I myself have been in the construction industry since 2003 and started out flipping homes for about 3 years and then moved to the contracting side of things.
I can remodel an entire house, bathrooms, kitchens. Pretty much anything to do with a home.
