I am out of state, can I still be able to have my house painted?

Sure… we do this all the time for our clients who live out of Alaska. We carry all of the proper licenses to do your all of your painting. In confidence that it is done right while you are not present.

We will even send you pictures of the job while being done and after it’s completed. Our team even painted a house for a customer while they were in Japan. They came back and were very happy! So did a few extra touch-ups they saw and another happy customer.

What do I need to do before you guys get to my house to paint?

When it comes to the painting process, Nothing! 🙂 We will take care of everything from start to finish.

The only thing you need to do is provide us with a deposit the day before we start your job. Make sure everything is away from the house as much as possible at least 4 feet to give us room to paint.

Give us the colors to paint on your home with a little direction on what you want done. Then you just sit back and watch your house transform to what you imagined.  

Do I need to supply the paint and materials?

No, all the paint and materials are always included in every painting quote we give to a customer.

Can you remove popcorn ceilings?

Sure… we can remove popcorn ceilings, but keep in mind we have no idea what is under the popcorn texture. There is no way to let you know if addition work is needed until we start scraping on the area.

What kind of paint do you use on the exterior of a house?

We like to use a Sherwin Williams product called Super Paint, this is our #1 choice, but all of their life-time warranty paints are very good such as Resilience, Duration and Emerald. We like to use Resilience on all of our exterior trim work because it has moisture guard in it, but they all work great!

This is a question we get on a daily basis. To be honest we really have to see the house because it depends on a lot of factors like… How much paint is needed, how many stories it is, what kind of shape the current paint is in. Etc… Etc…

Our white paint is turning brown on our deck, what is this from?

All Anchorage Painters should know this… Either white paint or just a lighter color will show this. This is called Tan and Bleed! This usually is when the product is coming through the paint that the wood was treated with.

This is only one reason why we never recommend painting a deck and only staining it. Not only that…  Paint on a deck surface in Alaska rots the wood even faster since moisture gets trapped in the wood. Many Anchorage Painters will tell you this if they’re honest!

I have some bad siding on our home, can you replace that before painting?

Why has our paint faded so fast?

Well sometimes it’s the sun and mostly on the south side facing wall here in Anchorage for most homes. Or it could be from inferior paint products that most developers use on new houses built because it’s cheap. Paints we use don’t fade for years and we only use premium painting products to ensure your paint job lasts.

My fascia boards look really bad… Can you replace those before painting?

This is completely no problem! We can replace fascia, siding, decks and more…
